Nicole

Nicole T. Clark, YWLC Program Coordinator

Nicole is a graduate of Spelman College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology in May 2006. Nicole was introduced to the sexual and reproductive rights movement while volunteering at the 2003 SisterSong National Women of Color Reproductive Health and Sexual Rights Conference. At Spelman, Nicole served as a member of the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance and as a campus peer educator (PEPPER) with Spelman’s Department of Counseling Services.

Nicole has served as a member of Advocates for Youth’s Young Women of Color Leadership Council since September 2005 and also helped to coordinate a campus chapter. She has volunteered with several nonprofit organizations including AID Atlanta, Cool Girls, Inc., Planned Parenthood of Georgia, and Advocates for Youth (where she is currently a peer educator for MySistahs.org). Nicole volunteers with the FIREGRL Club at the John H. Harland Boys and Girls Club (sponsored by HOTGIRLS) and will assist with recruiting and training the YWLC members and coordinating the program. Nicole aspires to earn masters degrees in public health and social work and hopes to one day create a nonprofit organization for disadvantaged young black women and girls.
