Ashley Johnson

My name is Ashley Johnson. I am currently in my sophomore year at Spelman College, where I am seeking a bachelor's degree in Psychology.  My main areas of interest include women, and women's mental health issues.  I took an immediate interest in the Young Women's Leadership Council because it seemed to be unlike any program I have encountered.  We deal head on with real life issues affecting young women who look like me.  While I haven't always had a particular interest in HIV/AIDS awareness, I have recently seen first hand the rate at which the lives of African American men and women are being taken by this disease.  I look forward to learning from working with HOTGIRLS as well as passing on the life saving information which I will be given.  Return to the YWLC Member Bios.
