Samantha Danielle Preston

Raised in Miami, Florida, Samantha’s personality is as bright and bustling as the sunny beaches she has been surrounded by her whole life. As a junior, English major at Spelman College, with aspirations of one day becoming a lawyer, Samantha is involved with numerous organizations on campus. She is a part of the English Club and serves as a Spelman College Ambassador. Samantha was inducted into the highly acclaimed Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society, as well as the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Moreover, she has been named a Spelman College Student of Distinction, in which she receives a yearly scholarship for her continued scholastic achievement.

With a fervent and zealous passion for community service, Samantha is involved with numerous service endeavors at both Spelman and within the Atlanta community. She serves as the current president of Moving Upwards by Standing for Excellence (M.U.S.E.), the first student-initiated community service organization under the direction of executive director Jane Smith of the Spelman College Leads Center. She also volunteers with several non-profit organizations within the Metro-Atlanta community including Cool Girls, Inc, where she served as an intern and a mentor. She is also a member of the highly regarded Women of Excellence Leadership Series (WEL) graduating class of 2006 where she received leadership development and training. Samantha is very excited about being a part of the HOTGIRLS Young Women's Leadership Council and looks forward to impacting the community one girl at a time.
